Why use KaiQR instead of a free static QR generator?

A static QR encodes your URL directly into the dots. The moment that URL changes, every printed copy of the QR is dead. KaiQR encodes a short kaiqr.com link instead and resolves it server-side — so you can update the destination, swap a PDF, redirect a vCard, or pause a scan campaign without anyone reprinting anything. Free generators also give you zero analytics; we record every scan.

Do I need to install anything?

No. KaiQR runs in the browser — Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, mobile or desktop. There's no app to download. Scans work with any phone camera that already reads QR codes.

Can I change a QR after I've printed it?

Yes — that's the whole point of dynamic QR codes. The printed QR points at a short kaiqr.com link, and you can change what that link redirects to from your dashboard at any time. The QR itself never needs to be reprinted.

KaiQR is a paid product — every QR is a dynamic code you can update after it's printed, with full scan analytics. You start with a 7-day trial on the monthly plan, then continue on monthly, quarterly, or annual billing. There's no permanent free tier, but you can cancel any time and we offer a 30-day refund.

How do I create an account?

Email and password, or Google sign-in. You create an account when you start your trial — that's where your QR codes, analytics, and billing live.

How does the trial work?

The monthly plan starts with a 7-day trial for a small intro charge (shown at checkout), then renews at the full monthly rate on day 8 — we email you before it does. Cancel any time during the trial and you won't be charged again. The quarterly and annual plans bill in full up front and lock in their discount, so they don't include the trial.

How does automatic renewal work?

Subscriptions renew at the end of each billing period at the published price. We email you 7 days before any annual renewal so it's never a surprise. If our prices ever change, your existing subscription stays at the old price for one full renewal cycle, and we email you about the change at least 30 days in advance.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Dashboard → Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. You'll see a one-time offer to stay at 50% off for 3 months, then a confirmation step. After confirming, your subscription stays active through the end of the current billing period and ends automatically on the next renewal date.

What happens after I cancel?

Premium features turn off at the end of your billing period — not instantly. After that, your dynamic QR codes become read-only: they keep redirecting to whatever destination you last set, but you can't edit destinations or see new scan analytics. Reactivate any time to restore full access; nothing is deleted.

I don't recognize a charge from KaiQR. What do I do?

Email support@kaiqr.com from the email tied to your account and we'll find it within one business day. Charges show up on statements as 'KAIQR.COM' or 'STRIPE.COM*KAIQR'. Filing a chargeback directly takes longer for everyone — please email us first.

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Subscription fees are non-refundable as a default, except for: a billing error caused by us, an outage exceeding 24 consecutive hours, or where required by law. EU and UK consumers have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right after any new paid subscription. To request a refund, email support@kaiqr.com.
